Issues

1. The Milford Initiative group has been established to provide all Milford residents an alternative political group dedicated to ensuring responsible government through fiscal responsibility, accountability, transparency, and choice.
   
2. This group is open to all electors without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, creed, gender, religious beliefs or party affiliation. We welcome the participation of all Milford residents who desire to join the movement and participate in its goals.
   
3. Fiscal Responsibility: The Milford Initiative will seek to endorse candidates who believe in implementing a continuously progressing culture of proper financial management throughout the City, and drafting budgets accordingly.
   
4. Accountability: The Milford Initiative will seek to endorse candidates who will take responsibility for their decisions and actions.
   
5. Choice: The Milford Initiative will seek to endorse candidates petitioning for election as well as those from any and all parties, so long as they are aligned with our standards.
   
6. Transparency: The Milford Initiative will seek to endorse candidates who will always cast there votes in a manner that will be in the best interest of their community, not a political party. These candidates should only recuse themselves when an ethical situation prevents them from voting, and should share their reason for their actions regarding any issues they act upon.
   
7. The Milford Initiative group is committed to uniting and promoting the diverse neighborhoods of the City through participation in the elected, appointed, and volunteer positions in local government.
